I just tried installing the amd64 version of Debian Squeeze using the latest weekly iso build and had this problem. The installer complained that creating an ext4 filesystem failed. I dropped to a console and checked syslog and saw the "mkfs.ext4: /lib/libblkid.so.1: version `BLKID_2.17' not found
