There is still interest in keeping darcs in Debian, and upstream is
working on adding darcs to Stackage. See here

I intend to remove this package. It is not part of Stackage LTS and its
dependencies are incompatible with the packages we have in Debian,
making it almost impossible to maintain it. (see #1054953 which has been
open for almost a year now).
