You submitted bugs about scilab not being able to start: I found the
cause, which is linked to the default JVM switching from openjdk-11 to
openjdk-17. I was able to fix this: the version of scilab in Debian
experimental, 6.1.1+dfsg2-6~exp1, is no

Yes, unfortunately this is confirmed. In my last upload of scilab I did
much to allow one to run the command-line tool (try running scilab-cli
or scilab-adv-cli, this now works) but the GUI is not working, nor the
graphics if one tries to plot something from
