Can I run that in stable? Or am I going to have to install a bunch of new
libs/deps?

Okay, this is REALLY weird.
I purged, moved the .config/chromium/ entire dir to another location,
and reinstalled chromium-browser with aptitude.
I ran it, and it loaded debian.org right away.
It seems fine on debian.org, fsf.org, gnu.org,
will NOT load anything from google (google.com search, gmai
I DO use sync.
I tried to disable it and run chromium again, and it didn't seem to make a
difference.
(I can open the gui, and access tools>sync, just can't load a single page)
Chromium on my laptop (running peppermint os, which is ubu/mint mix) is
still sinked, and running fine.
