Tried to get a backtrace in accordance to instructions laid out on
http://wiki.debian.org/?HowToGetABacktrace but failed to have totem to even
built from
source. The errors are as follow:

Starting totem from gnome-terminal did bring up totem for a brief minute or so
but crashes
almost immediately afterwards with the following errors.

Trying to fire gxine up from gnome-terminal brings up the following error
messages and
subsequent failure of gxine to progress beyond splash screen before it crashes.
