What are you using to suspend/resume? Can you install uswsusp? Splashy
and uswsusp work very well together.

I'd like to know more about this issue.

Tim changed the order at which Splashy is executed during resume to
allow uswsusp to start first.
We will release 0.3.1
again.
We weren't sure how to go about making both of them work. If you can
point me in the right direction I can implement a fix. (Not sure about
uswsusp as I have never seen the source code for it -- yet.)

I had a look at uswsusp suspend command (called from within initrd)
and saw that it do interact with the framebuffer and makes some
splash-related initialization. Would'nt that be messing up with
splashy?

Hello,
I have just tested the newer 0.3.11 version asn my Asus EEE PC 900
still "freezes" if I use uswsusp + splashy, the bug still exists.
If I find time on the following days, I'll post here my findings

ded yet because we are all in "holidays" mode and the whole
release/bug-fix cycle has been reduced in speed ;-)
If you are reading this bug and you are having problems with gdm or any
other script, please just grab a copy of lsb-base-logging.sh and replace
your /etc/lsb-base-logging.sh cop
the directfb devels know about this
[1]. I'm trying to address that problem for 0.3.9. 0.3.8 is out and it
should fix most of the current bugs.
Sit tight as we are now in "holiday mode" and everybody is away from their
keyboards ;-)
Notes:
1. http://mail.directfb.org/pipermail/directf
If you have libdirectfb-0.9.25-x installed, can you please remove it?
It seems that even though Splashy links against libdirectfb-1.0.x (from
Sid), the binary tries to access the older version of the lib causing the -3
errors.
Please report back ASAP as we are getting ready to do a bug fix releas
shortly. If you can send us the result
of this test it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reporting this bug.
Attached is a copy of lsb-base-logging.sh that fixes this and other bugs. We
will be doing a minor (bug fixes) release shortly.
