I attach the output of ooimpress when trying to open a ppt file, and
the output of oowriter when opening a .sxw file. In both cases openoffice
crashes
just after starting.

I found that switching on a tab like "Messages", that is,
leaving the transfers tab on the background reduces dramatically
the CPU usage by xorg. I think it's widgets fault, but I don't know
how to investicate.
