the same behaviour occurs here.
After upgrading to kpilot 3.5.5 there was no sync anymore without any
warning. I reseted my PDA, during a hang and lost all the data that
were not synced since the upgrade.
No data transmission was possible, although the log said
unblock 391562 by 391847

hostap-source builds fine with m-a on my system.
Perhaps submitter have no configured kernel source installed, so the
link /lib/module/2.6.12-1-k7/build/ -> /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.12
points to nothing or he removed the .config for some reasons?
