Any update to the bug. As far as I understand it, few months down the
line the archive will be frozen for jessie. It would be perhaps good
if this bug is resolved before that and we get some time to test the
new binary as well.

I have seen this behaviour too after upgrading my testing installation
yesterday. In my case I'm not using systemd, so the output is somewhat
different (the dist-upgrade doesn't notice anything is wrong so doesn't fail)
