The tarball for 0.7.3, which incorporates the fix for this bug, is now
released.
Sorry for the delay.
This bug has been resolved in the git repository, and the fix will (along
with a few other fixes) be rolled into a 0.7.3 release fairly soon.
Unfortunately, this is dependent on Python issue 6755 <
http://bugs.python.org/issue6755>, so we cannot yet resolve this issue,
which annoys me also.
Having checked, I've determined that the error is because the Debian package
places both the README, and the file in question, config.json, in
/usr/share/identicurse/, whereas IdentiCurse currently checks for them in
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/identicurse/
