The init script in the current version of smstools fails to stop
smstools under some conditions. That is because of some peculiarities,
the smsd has, which need to be handled.
This problem was reported by the upstream author, who sug
After posting the bug the upstream author contacted me and we were in
talk about the init script. We came to conclusion, that the script might
produce a possible data loss (e.g. SMS sent or received while stopping
the daemon *could* be lost!)! Therefore i upgraded the severity of this
package and f

has been changed and improved slightly, hopefully the problem will
disappear.

rewritten. So the build scripts. They should not contain any bashisms

(if not solved already) a problem with the apache versions prior to
apache2. Anyways i can really recommend to use the apache2 branch and
