Hi,
I just wanted to mention a trivial patch I attached to the Ubuntu bug
for this. It has the drawbacks that Colin mentions above that its not
the standard semantics of _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE and _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
It does however fix the problem of the missing prototype and should
not be too bad

Hey,
thanks for the little patch, worked for me.
It would be very nice to see this patch in the next version of

Hi,
Federico is right, so this is not a upstream-bug, just a dependence is
missing.
I closed the report at bugs.kde.org.

Hey,
I use a vServer and has the same problem.
As you said, I upgraded to 1.1.21, but the problem still exists:

Hi,
this bug is fixed in version 0.7.11 of apt (rev. 1585..1586 in the
debian-sid branch). If this is a problem for etch->lenny upgrades,
this change needs to be either backported to etch or a workaround
needs to be applied. There is some information in

I ran wine "iexplore http://debian.org";, then the gecko-installer appeared.

Yes, if the patch is smal
Hi,
I had a look at the source and the output of "apt-cache stats" and it
looks like the problem is that libapt does not detect duplicated
description version. I.e. if ftp.de.debian.org and ftp.debian.org are
present in the sources.list, that doubles the amount of descrptions it
seems. I'm looking
