Version 1.0.0 is released upstream, being a major update, almost a
rewrite, it uses
X.org's touch API and supports multitouch.
The package is updated on mentors accordingly. In case you want to make
that available
to Debian and sponsor it, feel free to contact me.
cheers,
Dear possible sponsors,
Let's make Debian for embedded just a little better! :)
I'd be happy to maintain the tslib Debian package for the future.
thanks,

just to add some advertisement for this package:
tslib had been part of wheezy and only recently got development
attention. Having tslib in Debian again would improve Debian for
embedded.
Debian is great, not only for "rapid prototyping", and sometimes
devices' touch screens need tslib.

Arch Linux'
AUR repository, see https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xf86-input-tslib/
and buildroot
uses it in their builds.
To clarify, tslib itself even somewhat promotes using standard evdev

and as SDL2 graphical calibration and a D-Bus daemon are at least
possible in the future for tslib, it would only become more useful.
xf86-input-tslib makes tslib "just work" on X11.

tslib 1.2 just was released just now and the project is more active than it was
in previous years. The reason I report this as orphaned is that tslib was
packaged for wheezy, see https://package
