I'm not sure this should be reported against apt or the involved packages, but
since it's the configuration ordering I'm taking a guess at the package
manager.
I had an issue where an "apt full-upgrade" (sid->sid) failed without
a reboot, so in practice stop is noop, disable is stop and mask
is disable for avahi, which is quite odd...)

Yep, applying this commit solves the issue.
Previously 'gamma' from math.h was masked in order to make it available
to be defined by cubescript, and this masking was dependent on
implementation-specifics which had changed.
With this fix cubescript uses a different associated global name
'reqgamma' and thus does not need the masking.
