I experienced the problem described by neoXite and was able to get
Asterisk working by executing the script asterisk_fix from the asterisk
source package.
I don't understand enough of the details regarding the installation of
Debian packages, but it seems the problem could come about for the

Stephen,
I am also experiencing this bug. As a workaround, I added the
following line to root's crontab file:
hdparm -y /dev/sdb >/dev/null
I tried using: "hdparm -S 12 -B 127 /dev/sdb" but "hdparm -C /dev/sdb"

Stephen,
As of yesterday, hard disk drive spin-down started working again. I do
not think I changed anything manually for things to start working. As
of now, I can no longer reproduce this bug.

Hi Thomas,
I had php5-apcu installed and purged it (aptitude purge --purge-unused

OwnCloud contacts were restored for about one hour and disappeared

Stephen and others,
After my last email, the bug returned; /dev/sdb stopped spinning down.
A reboot seems to have fixed the problem. That is, after rebooting my
computer, /dev/sdb spins down again. I suspect now that this bug is

I found that to compile a Thrust (http://thrust.github.com/) program,
nvcc must be called with the -lcudart command line option.
Specifically, to compile examples/version.cu from the Thrust Git

I think it is not directly related, but /usr/share/doc/bash-

/etc/bash_completion.d/.
Please let me know if additional information is needed.

In case this isn't known by the people looking at this bug report, the
Debian package apticron implements a randomized start time

This bug may be specific to the x11 terminal type since I've
discovered that by changing the terminal type to wxt, (i.e. if line 2
of debug.gp is: set terminal wxt enhanced title "Figure 1") the

Sorry, upon rereading my bug report, I realize I didn't write it very
well.
Changing the fontsize from 14 to 13 on line 25, the gnuplot window
does not die. Likewise, changing the ylabel text to something like
"y", the problem goes away.
