I was able to fix that bug by taking Math::BigInt and Math::BigFloat
from perl 5.36. They work seamless.

I found the bug. The bug is in the color code.
The replacement of $SEARCH in the new display function can never match
for latin1 chars as it is still UTF-8. So either use the original search
string here or convert it back to local locale.

for eject is to eject a cdrom. (I know that there is more as ejecting

Well, on this particular machine the debian kernel 2.6.18.5. On all
other where I run a stable 2.4 kernel it seems to work well. But this
system is my laptop to play around with.

and reinstalled it and also removed my .gkrellm2 directory -- no help.
Also trying lower versions of libcairo and libpango didn't help.
Maybe it can help compiling gkrellm with debugging information. I will
see the next days if it is possible.
