I have the same problem. If mc starts with the right panel as the Info
panel, pressing F5 or F6 causes a segfault.
When it crashes, valgrind reports the following:
Invalid read of size 4 in file_mask_dialog (filegui.c:948)
Testing for the existence of right_panel fixes the segfault for me, so
Oops. It looks like I sent an incomplete fix. There is a similar
problem with left_panel if mc starts up with the view reversed (Info left,
Listing right).
This revised patch should take care of both.

I attached a patch that lets the client choose from multiple sound

It works well on my system. Reinhard Tartler doesn't get sound output

Qt needs to
be more selective about which plugins it has access to when it's running
in a non-KDE environment.
I tried Vincent's suggestion about a symlink just for phonon_backend.

It looks like a problem with a patch in Debian's kdeutils branch update
(r548145).
Under certain circumstances, kwalletmanager exits and deletes _dcopRef
before it's actually been created. We just need to create _dcopRef
earlier. I've attached a slight modification to the patch that seems to
