without any reaction.
Tracing system calls with strace shows a endless loop on an open file
with FD 4:

I got numlock state problems too with this gnome-shell version.
Mine were no similar to yours but seem to disappear with the last gnome-shell
version (3.34.1+git20191024-1).
Can you check if your problems still persist ?
And confirm it in this bug report ?
