If you try to run "tob -fullcount " on a system that has en_US.UTF-8

in EXIM itself for SPF and DMARC checks.
This requires to include SUPPORT_SPF=yes and SUPPORT_DMARC in the
makefile, and of course it should probably be done only for the heavy
version of the Exim daemon.

I have exactly the same issue. Found it while trying to use Festival
with Asterisk.
If I use the italian voice I get the same error, and if I use the
english voice it works flawlessly.
Steps to reproduce:
install festlex-ifd and its dependencies.
run festival with italian language:
I confirm I can reproduce this bug. I have the same issue. Sip session
hangs and I have to kill asterisk to make it work again. Makes Espeak
integration in Asterisk unusable.
