However if no options are given to who, the
'scan_entries' function is called, which invokes the
'print_user' function with a pointer to the utmp_buf.
Consider two users logged onto the system: 'foobarab'
and 'foobarabc'. 'who' will display 'foobarab' as
being logged in twice, which would not be the true.
Further review points to the print_line () function as
the one that actually sends the output to the console.
I may be wrong about that too
If not, any program that displays those account names
should do so without truncating the account name,
especially a program whose entire purpose is to
display the logged in accounts (who).

match, currently the admin or user is left to guess

This is due to the kernel not collecting that data. No
way to fix it within GNU acct (but it should just work

Agreed. I've never noticed this issue :-/

The doc-base file linked to above worked nicely
for me:
1) Saved to file 'aptitude-doc-en.doc-base.control' (any name would do)
2) sudo install-docs -v -i ./aptitude-doc-en.doc-base.control

I'll document the exit status of cme mentioning this option.

Ack. I've already faced similar bugs with Config::Model.
Currently, I cannot reproduce this issue on my system (even with
libtest-harness-perl installed)
IIRC this problem was fixed in libconfig-model-perl 2.042 [1].
Could you check the version you're using ?
All the best
