Hi,
as discussed I attached a smallish but featureful zshrc. It is
currently (including comments) 50 lines long. The only feature enabled
by default is a rather small but usable prompt, the other features can
be enabled by uncommenting them.
Things I considered
I updated both files.
If you plan to add both to /u/s/d/zsh/examples please append something
like this to the shorter one:

thanks a lot for implementing and ButAutomaticUpgrades!
I just played a bit with Release files to be able to test this feature,
it seems to work :)
There is one somehow related bug, which does not seem to be a problem
for backports.debian.org but a possible one for other repos
./tests/scripts/startup_nis_ldap_server.sh:rm -f $DBDIR/[!C]*
Possible fix: rm -f "${DBDIR:?}"/[!C]*
