This bug is causing me a lot of grief as it is filling my /var/log

logging level so that these messages don't show up? I think the bug
level needs to be increased because it can bring a system down.

I found the problem. I had LD_LIBRARY_PATH set and it was picking up
some libkrb5* libraries from there. After I removed that directory
from LD_LIBRARY_PATH, import cv2 worked fine.
I have found a fix thanks to Tibor Boesze. He fixed an older version
of Ubuntu so I applied the fix to debian. The only change is in

I tried to install xserver-xorg 7.3 from unstable and it broke X. First the
error was that
it couldn't find module type1. I commented out load "type1" in xorg.conf.
Then it told me
it could
Sound still doesn't work in GDM with GDM 2.20 from unstable.

I replaced wodim and family and made symbolic links to cdrecord and
mkisofs as can be seen here:

I did the following as suggested and it didn't help:
rm -Rf /var/lib/menu-xdg/* plus dpkg-reconfigure menu-xdg.
It seems as if there must be some local configuration file that is
messed up instead of system wide since 2 different logins show different
menu options from the debian menu. One login
like this bug is really an alacarte bug.

Actually, I spoke too soon. Now the first level submenus show up under
Debian but the menus under the first level don't all show up even though
they are checked in alacarte. Checking/unchecking the lower level
Debian menus in alacarte does nothing. They also will become unchecked

Sometime recently printing started failing. I get the following error in

I still had backlevel versions of cups in my cache so I reverted to the
following and printing works again.

I get a kerneloops on 2.6.32 kernels unless CONFIG_LBDAF is yes. This is on a

I submitted upstream as bug 15209. I don't know how to get the oops
message as kerneloops is having problems which I submitted as Debian bug
567555.

The upstream kernel people have resolved the issue. You can go there
for the details. Basically, when the ext4 file system was created, it
used the large file system default even though the hard drive is only
160GB and a large file is 2TB. The large file system is the default for
ext4. So, a sp
