In the meanwhile I could verify that the

If you think a co-maintainer could improve the package maintenance,
I'd join in.

comparison to DEP-3 patches, I don't yet know DEP-5 by mind
and lintian doesn't yet complain about non-DEP-5 copyright files, so
the urge to move to DEP-5 is low, at least if I don't have to change
much in in there.

Hi,
here's an update for the release notes, which is a follow-up on #649240.

Hi,
Policy 3.9.4 mandates that binary packages which are built by using
source code from other packages (build-dependencies) need to have a
Built-Using header.
Currently generating such a header dynamically looks as ugly and hard to
remem
o factor out some code
duplication. :-)
This way it should also make the patch easier to refresh in case of
new upstream versions which still don't have this functionality.

See http://wiki.debian.org/Apache2Transition for details.
So I suspect that newer Apache 2.2 releases are of no big interest for
Debian anymore -- with the expection of security patches for Wheezy
and Squeeze of course.

perl-modules package contains File::Copy 2.21, but Squeeze
contains 2.14, so this may need a versioned dependency on perl-modules.
(pmvers from the pmtools package helps to find out easily File::Copy's
version.)

ackage is available (in unstable? in
testing? not sure yet), I'll request the removal of libapache2-mod-macro

Package: cpio
Version: 2.11-6
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
the Vcs-* headers of the cpio package point to the personal Git
repository of the second-last maintainer[1], who in the meanwhile also
changed his Debian login name which makes even the login name in those
URLs outdated and hence the
d in our git repo now and will be fixed in Debian with the
next upload.
