Thanks for helping with the testing. What version of avrdude are you
using? This bug was probably fixed in the last update to avrdude,
which has not migrated to testing yet (5.10-3). It was fixed a few
days ago, so it's possible you have the unpatched avrdude.

I don't know when it was changed, but I got that from upstream
(libevas upstream) here [1]. Debian unstable has the version with the
new license [2,3], they just haven't updated their debian/copyright
file yet even though unstable has the new license. To be clear,
libevas' license changed, not zhon
