Hi ,
reverting d6b88ce2eb9d ("ACPI: processor idle: Allow playing dead in
C3 state") made kernel version 5.15.35 booting , but still not kernel
version 5.17.5 in my case.
The last one has changed behaviour : now the kernel seems to boot - at

Control: tag -1 unreproducible
I cannot reproduce that in a (qemu) chroot - the module build fine.
bluca can't reproduce it either.
AFAIK non-free packages cannot be installed in the porterbox chroots, so
testing it on some real hardware is difficult ...

Package: rust-core-arch
As far as I can tell the core_arch crate on crates.io was a testing ground for
what became
core::arch in the standard library and is now abandoned. The package relies on
"nightly"
compiler features and has FTBFS for over a year without anyone caring enough to
fix it.

Sorry... I had taken other files in my tests before, than what I've
used back then.
I dug out those now and re-checked again with them.. and while it does
work for them with Opus.. it doesn't with MP3.
So there's still something in ffmpeg, which destroys the gappless

Hi Matthias,
cross-fixes.diff no longer applies and that happens to break cross
compiler builds. Please find a patch attached for your convenience.
