This is simply a misunderstanding of file-descriptors.
The dup2() system call links multiple file-descriptors to the same "open
file" object in the kernel, with a single common read-write pointer.
However opening the /dev/stderr device, at least in Linux, do not do this;

I put the minimum xorg.conf for NVidia into /etc/X11 and tried startx as user.
It says "no screens found"
Now i rerun the xorg configuration tool and try to reboot ...

i am sorry, at least nothing has worked.
With the driver from unstable i get no running X.
All the configurations of xorg.conf i testes result in "no screens found".
I attach the last configuration.
The first one was the minimal configuration.file:///sda/etc/X11/xorg.conf

Sorry, I have testing as the default and expect aptitude to only pull
from testing unless I specify a different version (which it obviously
doesnt, a usability bug for me).
cgroup-tools isn't on testing currently.

`ben download` attempts to download Sources.bz2 files, but apparently
these have been replaced by Sources.xz files on the main Debian archive.
As there does not seem to be a fallback, this makes `ben download`
unusable, incl. -
I forgot to mention that all images I tried have Dº M' S'' format.
I couldn't get an image with decimal degree format.
If you can please share here.
