lxde panel does not shut down or reboot if systemd is installed.
Remove systemd [ and all dependant on it like Gnome] and
shutdown/reboot will work again.

Same here, it breaks apt completely. I uninstalled apt-listbugs (with
sudo dpkg -r apt-listbugs, since apt was broken) in order to do the
upgrade, but that's dirty. So I increase the severity, because whatever
transition is happening didn't arrive the right way.

I don;t understand your comment around the "itemx" problem, there seem
to be plenty of other, equivalent cases in the file... how do you spot
the problem? pinfo? which version? or is there an info-lint?
