Forgot to add:
Unfortunately gdm is not in sid for amd64/i386 anymore. But fortunately
(probably because it is not c++), gdm from Squeeze works in Wheezy! So,
I installed gdm from Squeeze and my multiseat is working again.
Working gdm.conf is in attachment

After discussions in https://bugs.launchpad.net/raspbian/+bug/1096224 I
just applied a fix for this in raspbian. A filtered debdiff* is attatched.
* I accidently refreshed an unrelated patch while working on the fix
which created some noise in the debdiff.

The fix for #680571 neglected to update the configure_client_version
function leaving it calling _link_manpages with the wrong argument
order.
The manpages are no longer linked correctly on postinst of client packages.

But the decision not to build/package in time for wheezy is just
nasty! So many of us depend on this for proper desktops. You'll be
forcing us to build this thing over and over again...
Any possibility on changing the bug severity so that the patch makes
