I have tried to sync my Google calendar tasks with Evolution to no avail
unless I use iCal and then, the tasks are read-only. I would say that

I'm running Debian Wheezy (from the Installer Beta 4 disk). I was having
the constant crashes with gconf-editor, with the terminal errors
described in the messages of this thread.
I applied the patch referred to in post #15.
After applying the patch, no more sudden crashes in gconf-editor.
