I can confirm a relogin or gconfd-2 kill (and so forced respawn) "fixes"
that problem. So it is rather a gnome principle as it seems. At least I
heard it numerous times a gnome-foo upgrade plus reboot or relogin is a
must.

I'm itching to use OMV (openmediavault.org) but it's of limited use to me until 2.2.x makes it into the stable branch. Here's hoping it at least moves into the unstable or testing branches soon. I'd build it myself, but I'm a bit of a noob and trip up more often than I succeed.Thanks,Tony
