Same problem here. My mistake was a missing line in /etc/sudoers that was
introduced by the last update of sudo. Something with the PATH variable iirc.

at the moment (starting with release 4.7.0) mkvtoolnix uses its bundled
version of libebml & libmatroska exclusively. That will remain so for
the time being.

After an apt-get upgrade today, I wasn't able to boot anymore, lvm
complains that can't find libncurses.so.5, and it's right, the only
libncurses.so.5 file in initrd.img-2.6.32-5-amd64 is in
/32bit/usr/lib/libncurses.so.5.
