I installed the 1.45e-1 version of ImageJ as Andreas suggested, and its
behaviour is still the same: short blink of some panel (looks like main menu)
and failure.
Of course, it could be my fault, but I cannot see it.

wright now the word "Breaks:" is translated as "Unterbrechungen:" (which would
be translated as "discontinuities"). This is not understandable at all. I'd
suggest to translate it as "Beschädigt:" (something like "damages").
