libgl1-mesa-glx update to 7.10.1-4.
installing 7.7.1-4 from testing (with libcairo2 from unstable) fixes the

The problem was that my .bash_profile was setting the TERM environment
variable to "linux". Removing this line from .bash_profile and allowing
the system default TERM of "xterm" allows the cursor keys to work in Vim.

I'm not sure this is actually a bug in libv8 but in how node and
chromium call it. Copying the v8 example code (attached) and running it
produces the desired output.
