I have been struggling with the same problem, and I can confirm that
adding "insmod vbe" to menuentry does fix the problem. I tried adding
"insmod vbe" in the header, but for some reason that did not seem to
fix the issue. It needed to be added to menuentry.

Please check python-keyring's extensions.py - somehow kdw_wallet checks
fail on some architectures and kde_wallet extension is not built by
distutils.

I then suggest to
1) Tag it as upstream and add a comment refering to this bug in the tracker
asking to fix it in 8.6.
2) Until it's fixed upstream, add some bogus define to the CFLAGS when
building Tcl and patch the tclTomMath.h to only include tommath_class.h iff
that symbol is defined.

/lib/security/pam_unix_*.so symlinks have been dropped after being
deprecated for more than 10 years.
