I just hit the bug #456632. Note that this bug apply to automake 1.10
but also 1.9.
In automake 1.8, #296634 tell us that any texinfo files produce an
error when trying 'make distcheck'
In automake 1.0 and 1.10, this still happens i
(resend as it is not showing up on the Debian bugtracker website)
I am puzzled by this. It worked fine and I did not do anything
special. Certainly no recompilation. Here's the details on what I

as the one asking Julian to file this bug: ndiswrapper-1.1 has a sizable
popcon count, so it would be very nice if we could provide users with
an automatic upgrade. I don't know whether that is actually possible, but
you could look into it regardless of what other distributions do.

As the title says... if you change socket-dir in the configuration file, the
init script and rec_control by default don't see it - they insist on using
the hardcoded /var/run.

Also, I forgot to add, update-inetd isn't really consistent here. If I
run that remove command on my testing box with two BitlBee entries, I do
get a dialog asking if I really want to remove them both. Even if I
select "Yes", it still doesn't remove anything.

I have exactly the same problem as the original reporter, with an Epson
RX620. It works fine as root, but fails as a non root user. Appropriate
entries under /proc/bus/usb are only accessible to root.
