The issue is still present with both etch and sid kernels,
however maybe it's already fixed upstream in 2.6.23-rc1
by commit 49521f97ccd3c2bf6e71a91cea8fe65d170fa4fb :
I've also faced consistent crashes of X server anytime I've touched the
touchscreen on my unstable at amd64(x86_64).
After a lot of trials and errors with the package source I've found a fix:
Add the following code snippet to the beginning of libtouch.c :
#ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H
#include "config.h"

Hello
I'm not sure how to mark this bug/problem - so I've used wishlist.

So the problem goes like this - recently one of my harddrive crashed
very badly - actually so

Hi,
Good catch!
Please let me know if the patch below solves the issue for you,

Hi,
I run a console server with a serial port replicator, but the number of serial
ports in the kernel is limited to 16 (CONFIG_SERIAL_8250_NR_UARTS), so I have to
rebuild the kernel every time I update it.
It would be good if the limit cou

I have the same setup and found that it does not seem to work in it.
Having an amd64 chroot I decided to start it there instead of digging
