The reported error was caused from an old local build and installation
of libghoto2 packet from year 2006.
The old package library files went in /usr/local/lib which is searched
before /usr/lib.
After erasing all related files and directories in /usr/local/lib the
installation of libgphoto-2 2.4

Basically, the original MaraDNS 1.0 did not daemonize, but depended on
