I've now implemented a fix on my own to make the program's behaviour
match the documentation. Plain '-q -ls' tells you only the existence
and number of non-dead screens (9 for no sockets at all, 10 for
some sockets (which may be dead) and +1 for each non-dead) -

what version of the GCC source? running ctags against gcc-4.1.2's source
(provided by apt-get) crashes
on ./gcc/testsuite/gfortran.dg/actual_array_constructor_1.f90 for me,
but that's a different problem (the Fortran parser is written with the
assumption of valid source, which doesn't work out too
