big deal, and asking about it is a potential source of confusion for novice
users. I suggest to lower the priority of grub-installer/only_debian in that
case.

FWIW, this bug seems related, and I also have "BUG: soft lockup detected

acpid's (1.0.4-7) init script sets MODPROBE_OPTIONS to -Q, unless
VERBOSE=no is set. Unfortunately, modprobe (module-init-tools
3.3-pre4-2) doesn't understand -Q, so this ends up in in "Usage:
