We have the following in the gnome-panel-data postinst:
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source=${GCONF_CONFIG_SOURCE} --load

Hello Rob
Package: revelation
Version: 0.4.5-2
Revelation calls gconftool-2 --makefile-uninstall-source in the prerm.
This is no longer needed with the move to dh_gconf and should be
removed.

Hi Bdale,
FYI, you mistyped the bug number for this one. It's 361716, not 361715.
So your email got appended to a GCC bug. More info below...

Package: screem
Version: 0.16.1-3
Severity: serious
The screem package uses dh_gconf, but still uses gconftool to register
the schemas at the former place. This will fail if the file doesn't
exist anymore, and even worse, will override the defaults with the ones
from the old version.
Furthermore,
Package: giftui
Version: 0.4.1-7
Severity: minor
The giftui package calls gconf-schemas twice in its postinst script. The
manual call can be safely removed as dh_gconf adds what is needed.

Hello,
Could you please updated your changes to our new Parted code? It has
some file moves and also I did some small fixes in patches so would be
great if you could rediff your changes against it and then I can apply
it.
Thanks in advance,
