Yes that's true and I wondered the same thing, however I got the same
message with the fedora version that displayed it correctly. The fact
that the magnifier shows the text seems to point strongly at there being a
bug. Also, the postscript image does display right only the text is
missing.

looking at this bug I found that it isn't a problem with Build-Depends
but that -L/usr/X11R6/lib is missing when linking. Configure sets this

It would be nice to get that patch against the upstream CVS (0.6) as
well and forwarded to their tracker. It (CVS) contains several
enhancements over 0.5.

that I'm not in the 'sbuild' group (still need to investigate, but
that's my assumption), but the error really isn't helpful: 1) it
