Hi, I also had similar freeze with 5.01 but in new version in
experimental as saw in my tests solves freeze cases.
Please reply if this still happen on latest version, otherwise I'll
close this.

Similar behaviour here :(
CPU selection (parallel, round robin, sequential) does not matter.
It just chokes shortly after start. Keyboard control lost. Only the
power button is usable.

On a system with 32GB RAM, memtest86+ freezes every time at 15% of the first
test.
The system is a Fujitsu Lifebook U757, having the newest BIOS, running with
BIOS compatibility mode enabled.
