Hi all,
This message was dated 8/22/2023 but arrived on 9/3/2023. From the
headers, it looks like the 12 day discrepancy happened due to either
buxtehude.debian.org or chiark.greenend.org.uk sitting on the email for
12 days without forwarding.

Hello Mark,
Happy to see progress on this. I'm adding zeha to CC as he has taken
over the official util-linux debian maintainer role.

Andreas,
I have prepared the necessary updates to src:sysvinit to incorporate the hwclock

/etc/init.d/hwclock.sh
/usr/share/man/man5/hwclock.5
/usr/lib/udev/hwclock-set
/usr/lib/udev/rules.d/hwclock.rules

Dear Maintainer,
Please consider taking over the hwclock related init script (et.al.) from the
util-linux package.
These init scripts aren't really related to util-linux in any way, they
are just the old (sysvinit) *policy* on how to sync t
