Package: gv Version: 1:3.7.4-1+b1 Severity: normal If gv is started with a -geometry which is bigger than the vertical extent of the screen, and with certain -scale,
gv -geometry 600x2000 -scale=1.1 /usr/share/doc/texlive-doc/latex/tlc2/rosette.ps then it hangs not drawing the image or widgets and not responding to window manager close. It seems to be on any .ps file. rosette.ps from texlive-lang-english above is just an example. The -scale is necessary to provoke the problem for me. If omitted or one of the builtins like -scale 2 then it's ok. I think this is a regression. I struck it on a slightly too big -geometry which I had but which worked before. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.4.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_AU.iso88591, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.iso88591 (charmap=ISO-8859-1), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en_GB:en (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages gv depends on: ii ghostscript-x 9.26~dfsg-2 ii libc6 2.28-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.4-1 ii libxmu6 2:1.1.2-2 ii libxt6 1:1.1.5-1 ii xaw3dg 1.5+E-18.3 Versions of packages gv recommends: ii xaw3dg 1.5+E-18.3 gv suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
