It's a bad test, please don't waste your time trying to debug it. It fails
randomly on other platforms too, and upstream don't know why; ref

You should probably just ignore/disable it.
I've been investigating this FTBFS of emacs25 on Alpha. Interestingly
my manual build on one of the buildds built to completion. Running the
test manually I cannot get it to fail. I am using invocations such as:
./debian/build-nox/src/emacs-25.2.2 -batch -L
./debian/build-src/test/automated/ -
Source: emacs25
Version: 25.2+1-6
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)
User: debian-al...@lists.debian.org
The latest build of emacs25 for alpha (admittedly not a release
architecture) failed, per the below excerpts from
