Control: tags -1 + help moreinfo according to the logs, -Wl,--enable-new-dtags is already passed into the linker, so I don't assume the defaults change in binutils is the root cause. I'm unable to trigger the malloc error. If you can, please run gcc with -v, and then re-run the collect2/ld comma
