Hi,
I don't think "default umask" exists as a concept in Debian - my user umask is
0022, and I've never seen bad config files permissions elsewhere that were not
explicitly set in postinsts.

Package: geoip-database-contrib
Version: 1.17+nmu1
Severity: normal
On a jessie system, just after installing geoip-database-contrib:
-rw--- 1 root root 212 Jun 15 20:11 /etc/cron.d/geoip-database-contrib
This should be 644, not 600 (policy 10.9).
