I think I have fixed the issues you mentioned, but the one about
missing interpreter dep.
Regarding the latter, I have opened a lintian bug:

Contrary to lintian report, my package depends on erlang or erlang-
ba
control: tags -1 moreinfo
http://mentors.debian.net/package/averell
please address the lintian warnings you have, open an ITP, rebase the changelog
in
a since -1 entry and then remove the moreinfo tag
(I'm not sure I'll sponsor the package, since I know almost nothing about
erlang)
