Dmitry Bogatov:
Can we expect you [Andreas Henriksson] to provide necessary lines in
/etc/inittab?
Xe will have some difficulty doing that completely. The systemd
protocol for such containers is to have a fixed TUI login service on
/dev/console (as already mentioned) and *also* dynamicall

Hello again,
Trivial patch attached for below suggestion for your convenience.
(Making it convenient to test will have to be implemented in a higher
level tool that enables the provided example.)

Hi,
I spent some more time looking at the getty/inittab problem
when running inside systemd-nspawn.
The issue boils down to needing a getty on /dev/console, since
systemd-nspawn gives limited access to the base system and thus
/dev is very sparsely populated. Only very few things inside /dev

Hello Tomasz Buchert.
I also think it would be nice to be able to test sysvinit compatibility
with systemd-nspawn. Keeping a full virtual machine is just too much
overhead.
I simply did this to set up my environment:
debootstrap unstable /tmp/debian-tree
chroot /tmp
Package: sysvinit
Version: 2.88dsf-59.2
Severity: normal
Hi,
I've tried to boot sysvinit-enabled Debian with systemd-nspawn and it doesn't
work, unfortunately.
It would be great if sysvinit could boot inside systemd-nspawn: I maintain some
daemons in Debian
and it looks like a nice way to test whe
