I encountered this issue trying to install Buster on a Gigabyte Brix
2807 - hanging at 11% trying to install 'discover'.
Changing the BIOS setting for OS type from Windows 7 to Windows 8 also
fixed it for me.

using a Jessie installer image dating back a few months on an Intel
